Adopt a winter trail Snowlands Network is seeking volunteers to adopt a winter trail, scouting the trails yearly and reporting on necessary repairs and improvements. Ideally you will also help lead the maintenance work parties. Equipment, materials and arranging for volunteers provided. Trails in the Anderson Ridge and Iron Mountain SnoPark area along Highway 88 and trails in the Yuba Pass area are the most in need. Snowlands also seeks volunteers to mark trails in other areas such as the Mount Rose and Spooner Summit areas near Lake Tahoe. Please contact Snowlands Network chair Marcus Libkind at (925)455-5816 or by email to malibkind -at- snowlands.org |

Winter-wildlands conservation outings Snowlands Network is offering tours this winter (not sponsored by the Sierra Club). These guided ski and snowshoe tours go to areas where the organization has ongoing efforts to protect the silence and beauty of the snowscapes that are all too often destroyed by snowmobile use. For more information contact Annette Glabe at (560) 265-6424 or by email to aglabe -at- snowlands.org |
