Help gather signatures for Moraga Open Space Initiative
Conservation-minded Moraga residents have written a powerful ballot measure to preserve the town's remaining ridgelines, hillsides,
and wildlife habitat from harmful development.
The "Moraga Open Space Ordinance 2008 Initiative" ("MOSO 2008") would restrict development on over 1,700 acres of designated open space, much of which
is currently threatened with large housing projects. Volunteers must collect 1,500 voter signatures by early December to place MOSO 2008 on the June 3 primary ballot.
Help is needed with signature gathering! Please come to a short volunteer training session on
Sat., Oct. 27, or on Sat., Nov. 10. Both sessions will be held at 10:00 am at the Moraga Library, 1500 St. Mary's Road. Every single volunteer makes a difference,
and you need not be a Moraga resident to help!
If you can't make it to the training sessions, but would still like to help, or you want more information about the
initiative, please contact Marianne McKay at (925) 631-1285 or mm -at- murphymckay.com
