EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

Yodeler Photo Contest winning photos to be exhibited

Thursday, August 9 - Friday, September 7, Shadelands Campus Lobby Gallery, 111 North Wiget Lane, Walnut Creek.

Visit the exhibition of the winning photos from this year's Fifth Annual Yodeler Photo Contest. The colors are beautiful, and the photo locations may give you some ideas for your next holiday. The colors and details are far superior to the reproductions possible in this Yodeler, and the exhibit will include all the winners.

If you have questions or want to help with next year's photo contest, contact Anne Seasons at seamerci -at- yahoo.com or call (510) 295-4292.

Contest judges and volunteers

The "Nature in California" Contest Committee thanks our three excellent judges:
  • Bill Helsel, photographer specializing in nature, travel, and architecture;
  • Joseph R. Hearst, experienced judge for camera clubs;
  • Cha Levias, photographer and pro-accounts manager, Looking Glass Photo and Camera, Berkeley.
All entries are judged without any identifying information as to photographer.

Volunteer Contest Committee

The Yodeler would like to thank the volunteers without whom this contest could never have happened. They have contributed many hours of brainstorming, responding to e-mail requests, calling galleries, soliciting donations, arranging for judges, writing Yodeler articles, etc., etc., etc. And still there is more work to do! Thank you, Anne Seasons (Contest Committee chair), Allen Stross, Aphra Pia, Wade Sherwood, Alex Engel, and Al Greening. Special thanks to Monica DuClaud for Photoshop work to ensure the best-possible color reproduction of photos in this Yodeler.

To join this elite group of volunteers in organizing next year's contest, call Anne Seasons at (510)295-4292.
