Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Chapter to hire community organizer

Help coordinate volunteer campaigns to elect local environmental leaders and pass local environmental legislation.

Knowledge and skills:

  • 1 - 2 years of full-time, professional experience managing volunteer grassroots efforts;
  • strong interest in environmental and grassroots politics;
  • commitment to the democratic and electoral process;
  • strong written and oral communication skills;
  • preference for experience with grassroots fundraising.

Annual salary range begins at $33,000, with full benefits including competitive medical and dental.

Interested in one of the Bay Chapter's conservation campaigns? Want to build your resume experience within the environmental field? Become an conservation intern with the Bay Chapter.

We are always looking to find energetic, passionate conservation activists to bring aboard as interns. Interns can work on a number of local to national campaigns alongside a staff conservation organizer. Internships typically last 10 weeks at approximately 10 hours per week and depending upon experience can be paid, or for college course credit. Applications are filled on a rolling basis.
