"History of Tesla - A California Coal-Mining Town" with Dan Mosier

Tuesday, January 23, 7 pm, at Livermore Civic Center Library, 1188 South Livermore Avenue.

Mingle with your local Sierra Club friends for an evening of conversation, munchies, and enrichment. Dan Mosier, local author of History of Tesla - A California Coal-Mining Town, will give a presentation about the town that was and the current status of the Tesla property. This 3,000-acre site, 14 miles from downtown Livermore, has been purchased by the state, with plans to develop it into a park. Dan will will share with us the state's plan for developing the park and protecting the special plant and animal species surviving there. We will select a date for Dan to lead a hike of this restricted-access historical site.

For more information, call Janis Kate, (925) 443-4372.
