Behar for MMWD
The Sierra Club has endorsed David Behar for the open seat in Division 3 of the Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD). This district includes the San
Geronimo Valley, Fairfax, San Anselmo, Ross, and portions of Larkspur, Greenbrae, and Kentfield.
David has a wealth of experience in both environmental issues and specifically in managing the needs of a water district. He is currently the deputy assistant to
the general manager of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, where his focus has been on improved stewardship of watershed resources, fish populations,
and wildlife habitat. Previously he served as a key consultant on the effort to restore the San Joaquin River and as executive director of the Bay Institute, a
leading environmental group that helps protect the San Francisco Bay estuary.
David will bring the expertise and experience to help MMWD continue on its path as a leader in environmental stewardship and water conservation. We
urge all Sierra Club members in Division 3 to vote for David Behar.
