Re-elect Bill Wainwright to Martinez City Council

The Sierra Club endorsed Bill Wainright for his first term on the Martinez City Council based on his strong positions for preserving the natural beauty of Martinez: its hills and its waterfront environment. Since then he has continued with these positions in spite of persistent opposition from commercial interests that wish to alter the town's character.

In the next four years, the city will be working on implementation of its housing element to provide affordable housing and more energy-conserving buildings. There also continues to be pressure on the City Council to allow construction next to Martinez Regional Shoreline. Bill has resisted this pressure and will continue to do so.

The Sierra Club urges Martinez voters to re-elect Bill Wainright.
