Work parties at Hutchinson Lodge

Help revitalize the Sierra Club's Hutchinson Lodge in Norden, CA, to make it more comfortable and safe.

Come for a day or a week - whatever fits your schedule. Volunteers work four or more hours per day and get to stay and eat at adjacent Clair Tappaan Lodge for free. There are a variety of jobs. Many require no special skills. We can especially use help from those with skills at carpentry or plumbing. We provide tools, materials, and safety equipment. Possible dates include:

Aug. 21 - Sep. 1
Sep. 5 - 12
Sep. 20 - Oct. 7
Oct. 16 - Nov. 30.

These dates are somewhat tentative because there could be parties renting the lodge at some of these times. (We will be skipping Thanksgiving, Thu., Nov. 23, but bring your family and friends to Clair Tappaan for a traditional feast!)

Hutchinson Lodge, built from  wood and stone in the 1920s, is rented to self-sufficient groups.
