Become an environmental champion
School of grassroots organizing will teach you skills to work for better communities and world
Do you want to know how you can win victories for protection of open space, coastline preservation, and clean energy?
Most folks in the Bay Area share our values for environmental protection, but to build solutions we need to mobilize that
environmental majority. We must make clean energy a priority for elected officials. We must build a local movement to take back Congress
in 2006 and the White House in 2008. We must make sure that development happens in environmentally responsible, community-minded,
socially conscious ways.
The good news is that there are fun, tried-and-true techniques for winning on these and other issues you care about!
Come to the Bay Chapter's third annual Grassroots Organizing training series. Here's your chance to learn the skills and political
strategy behind effective grassroots organizing.
The instructors are people with real experience winning campaigns - the conservation staff of the Bay Chapter, supplemented with
several outstanding volunteer leaders.
All sessions will include hands-on learning opportunities. All events are free (including snacks), and dates and places are set all
around the Chapter to fit your location and schedule!
