San Francisco Group Charter-bus trips

Here's the new schedule for the San Francisco Group's charter-bus trips. Make your checks (no refunds) payable to "SFRG Outings", and send to Myra Forsythe at:

Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for reply. If weather/road conditions necessitate, substitute destinations will be selected. Morning light refreshments are served en route. Bring lunch, liquids, and comfortable hiking/walking shoes.

There are always two pick-up points in the city: San Francisco Civic Center (in front of the Bill Graham/Civic Center Auditorium on Grove Street, between Polk and Larkin Streets) and at Stonestown (on 19th Avenue at Buckingham Way, at the south end of shopping center parking lot). There will be a San Rafael pickup at Fourth and Irwin Streets for the Aug. 26 Salt Point trip only (note: this is not at the Marin Transit Center).

Sat., May 20 - Monterey/Asilomar. Hike, relax, beachcomb, and watch for seals, sea otters, and other wildlife along the way from the State Beach and Conference Center through Pacific Grove to Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. Or just visit the aquarium and sightsee. No-host early dinner. Civic Center 8 am, Stonestown 8:20. Fare $32.

Sat., Aug. 26 - Fort Ross/Salt Point State Park. Visit California's historic czarist Russian settlement, then on to Salt Point State Park to hike, relax, and beachcomb along lovely headlands and beaches of the Sonoma Coast. No dinner stop. Civic Center 8 am, Stonestown 8:20, San Rafael 8:45. Fare $32.

Sat., Oct. 28 - Point Lobos State Park. Hike, relax, and bring binoculars to enjoy the wildlife (otters, sea lions, birds, whales). Early no-host dinner stop in Monterey before return. Civic Center 8 am, Stonestown 8:20. Fare $32.
