Richmond developer hopefully to protect Rheem Creek
It appears that Panattoni Development Company, developer of the Parkway Commerce Center in Richmond, will modify the proposed project to protect Rheem Creek.
In behind-the-scenes negotiations during the Richmond City Council meeting on Sep. 20, the developer agreed to a set of mitigations. The Council ended up unable to pass any motion on the subject, but we are hopeful that the developer will nonetheless honor the commitments because they are in his interest and because they will be required by the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District.
