"East County Voters Face Crucial Election Decisions"

In November residents of Pittsburg, Antioch, and Brentwood will vote on developer-sponsored initiatives to expand the County Urban Limit Line (ULL). The Pittsburg initiative, sponsored and financed by Al Seeno III, would add 2,400 acres for development; the Brentwood initiative, pushed by the Nunn family, would add 1,700 acres; Antioch's initiative would add 1,000 acres, particularly for the Roddy Ranch area.

A yes vote would allow over 5,000 new homes to be built along traffic-clogged Highway 4. It would erode the environmental and anti-sprawl protection of the current ULL and undermine regional planning. The outcome will impact anyone who drives Highway 4 or other commuter routes.

At the Delta Group general meeting, a panel of local leaders will discuss these issues and others that impact our quality of life in East County. Plan to attend to voice your concerns and get information to help you in the voting booth in November.

Before the program we'll briefly discuss current environmental issues, and information about upcoming activities and events will be available.
