Northern Alameda Group
The Northern Alameda County Group represents members from Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, and San Leandro. We meet on the fourth Monday of the month at 7
pm. Locations vary; to find out, contact Group chair Andy Katz at (510) 220-1122 or
andykatz-at-cal.berkeley.edu or conservation chair Aaron Priven at (510) 601-6463 or

The Group focuses on making our cities more livable so that people will prefer to live in them, rather than in housing projects in distant green lands. Some recent
and continuing issues are:
- Oakland Uptown proposed park and streetscape;
- downtown Berkeley UC hotel complex;
- Oak to Ninth proposal for the Oakland Estuary;
- Berkeley Creek Restoration Study;
- Marin Avenue reconfiguration in Berkeley and Albany;
- promotion of multi-family housing in Alameda;
- Oakland herbicide ordinance.
The group also has an Oakland subcommittee that normally meets at 7 pm on the second Wednesday of each month. To confirm date and location, contact Joyce
Roy at (510) 655-7508 or joyceroy-at-earthlink.net
