Chapter picnic for all Chapter volunteers - and for future volunteers

Friday, August 19, 5:30 - 8:30 pm, Temescal Regional Park, 6500 Broadway, Oakland - North Temescal picnic area (near the swimming beach)

Join Sierra Club volunteers, hike leaders, staff, new members, long-time members, friends, and family for a summer celebration of the Sierra Club - and the volunteers who make the Club tick.

We'll provide a barbecue with meat and veggie options, games and songs, and information on our local conservation work and the upcoming Sierra Summit. You bring drinks and desserts, and your own lawn chair/frisbee/guitar. Kids and friendly dogs on leash OK.

Temescal Park has a large parking lot, and is a one- or two-mile trip from Rockridge BART. Make your way up to the park on your own, or join a walk-bike caravan from Rockridge BART, leaving at 5:30, 6, and 6:30.

We hope that this will become an annual event. Lend your energy to the first annual picnic so that 10 years from now, you can say you were at the very first one! New folks welcome - bring your friends!
