Can Contra Costa hold the Urban Limit Line?
Antioch, Brentwood, Pittsburg, and Concord are still demanding to add thousands of acres of sprawl housing outside Contra Costa County's current Urban Limit Line. This would add tens of thousands of new car trips on already congested Highway 4, I-680, and Highway 24. Residents of Central Contra Costa would clearly suffer from the added traffic, yet city councilmembers in Concord, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek are supporting this disastrous proposal.
