San Francisco Dinner: "Spectacular Mount Everest"
Thursday, May 19, social hour 6 pm, dinner 7, show 8 - City Forest Lodge, 254 Laguna Honda Boulevard, San Francisco (across from Laguna Honda Hospital
and downhill from Forest Hill Station; take Muni's K, L, M, or 43). Come early for street parking (no sidewalk parking please).
Awe-inspiring Chomolungma (Mount Everest) is not just the highest mountain in the world (over 29,000 feet), but is surrounded by four of the other
highest mountains: Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Nuptse. The 1,500-mile Himalaya, the world's youngest great mountain range, is unstable, precipitous, and rising.
David Eichorn's slide show will combine two of his trips to the Khumbu (Everest region), one just this past February. He returns to this region because in his
judgment it has the most spectacular mountain scenery on earth. Come and enjoy being humbled by great mountains.
