A volunteer's farewell

Dear Sierra Club Folks,

What a pleasure it has been to work with the Bay Chapter for these last ten years. The number of truly committed people I have met seems legion. It has been a great learning experience for me; issues that I've been ignorant about have become very important. And how can one argue with the goals of our great organization - protecting wild places, open spaces, air and water. Not me!

So, thank you for all that Sierra Club and the members of this chapter have done for me. It has all been a precious gift. I will think of you with much affection as you continue the good fight here on our home turf.

Maggie Pratley, a 10-year volunteer in the Chapter Office, recently went off to Thailand to spend the rest of her retirement in the Peace Corps. We wish her the best.
