Tri-Valley Group
"Global Warming and Ocean Acidification: Legacy of Fossil Fuels"
Monday, March 21, 7 pm, at the new Livermore Library, 1188 South Livermore Avenue, Community Room B.
Greg Rau will be the guest speaker at the Tri-Valley Group's general March membership meeting, talking about the linkages among fossil fuel use, CO2, global warming, and ocean acidification. Greg is an active Club member who has been a senior research scientist with the Institute of Marine Sciences at UCSC since 1986, and is currently a visiting scientist with the Energy and Environment Directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Lab.
Spring hikes in the Tri-Valley Area will be announced, and there will be opportunity to discuss local environmental issues. For more information contact Janis Kate, (925) 443-4372.
