The free talks will be led by Nancy Skinner, past president of the MTIA. Nancy has been leading hikes and teaching educational programs on Mount Tam since 1975. At each talk Nancy will be joined by friends knowledgeable on various aspects of Mount Tam history. The programs will be moderated by John Catalano, hike leader and past president of the MTIA. A question-and-answer period will follow each presentation. Well-known for her deep interest and broad scope of knowledge of Mount Tamalpais, Nancy Skinner is fondly regarded as the "Grande Dame" of Mount Tamalpais history. She recently led a group of MTIA volunteers on a two-year project documenting over 60 Mount Tamalpais historic sites and is (finally) writing a book on the unofficial history of Mount Tam.
