Chapter forms Communications CommitteeThursday, February 24, 1 - 2:30 pm, Chapter Office, 2530 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley. When the San Francisco Bay Chapter has an important issue to address or a fun activity to advertise, how does the word get out to the members? Of course, one way is the Yodeler, the Chapter's newspaper, which you have in your hands. The Chapter also has an extensive web site at www.sfbaysc.org and maintains a series of e-mail lists. Although the Chapter has professional staff working on the publications and on-line programs, there are always questions that need to be answered. How should the Yodeler and web site support volunteers working on important conservation issues? What can be done to better advertise activities? What's the best way to use the Internet to help inform Sierra Club members and the public, while remembering to include those who prefer not to use computers? If you are interested in helping answer such questions and working toward better communications among Sierra Club staff, volunteers, members at large, and the public, please consider joining the Chapter's new Communications Committee (a combination of the former Publications and Online Services Committees). Our first meeting will be in the daytime, but future meetings may be held in the evening, depending on demand. To express a preference on meeting times or to receive an agenda, contact or call (510) 601-6463
