Delta Group
"Will Fall Elections Bring New Directions?"
Wednesday, September 15, 7 pm, Antioch Library, 501 W. 18th St., Antioch.
The Bush administration has the worst environmental record in U.S. history. Here in East Contra Costa, continued population growth has gobbled up orchards and led to inadequate infrastructure services, crowded schools, and increased traffic congestion.
Elections give each of us the opportunity to work to elect leaders with strong environmental values. Tonight a panel of local leaders will discuss current and future community issues that impact our quality of life in East County. Speakers will include District 5 Supervisor Federal Glover and Antioch City Council candidates
Reggie Moore and Brian Kalinowski. (The Sierra Club has endorsed Moore. Other possible endorsements are still under consideration.) Come to voice your concerns and learn how to elect good leadership in November.
Delta Group program meetings are held on the third Tuesday in January, March, May, September, and November, unless otherwise noted. A newsletter listing Delta Group programs, outings, and activities is available by subscription. To receive the Newsletter, send a check for $5 payable to "Sierra Club, Delta Group" to Tish Brown at:
