San Francisco Dinner

"The Galápagos and Ecuador"

Thursday, September 16, social hour 6 pm, dinner 7, show 8 - City Forest Lodge, 254 Laguna Honda Boulevard, San Francisco (across from Laguna Honda Hospital and downhill from Forest Hill Station; take Muni's K, L, M, or 43). Come early for street parking (no sidewalk parking please).

Join us at our first fall dinner as Al and Marie Greening lead us on a fascinating journey through the Galápagos Islands and the highlands of Ecuador. Their one-week cruise on a 105-foot motor sailor took them to nine of the Galápagos Islands where they encountered and photographed amazingly tame blue- and red-footed boobies, frigatebirds, Galápagos penguins, wave albatrosses, marine and land iguanas, giant tortoises, Galápagos sea lions, and many other animals.

The Greenings will then take us to Quito, Ecuador, and the native markets in Otavalo and the Andean highlands. Al's photographs are beautiful and not to be missed. Be sure to make your reservations early.

Reservations are required (no attendance for program only). Mail check for $13.50, made out to "Sierra Club, S.F. Bay Chapter" to Barb Bourns at:

274 A Connecticut St.
San Francisco, CA 94107.

Checks must be received by Mon., Sep. 13. Please make separate checks for each program, including title and date. Bring your own wine and soft drinks. Glasses and ice available. Let us know if you are a vegetarian. Questions? Call Barb before 9 pm at (415) 431-6054.
