360 degrees of San Mateo County. Join Park Ranger George Durgerian on a grand tour of the National Park sites in Pacfica: Milagra Ridge, Sweeney Ridge and Mori Point. Hear the stories of bombs, bootlegging and bedeviled bulldozers that make these sites great. Meet: 9:30 am if you want to buy breakfast, 10 am for the hike at the Salada Beach Cafe, 220 Paloma Avenue, Pacifica. Zen Center and Muir Beach. Hike from Tennessee Valley up the Miwok Trail. Pass by Hope Cottage and hike through Green Gulch Farm to enjoy the gardens at the Zen Center. Climb to Muir Beach Overlook to enjoy spectacular views. Lunch at Muir Beach. Return by the Coastal Trail to Wolf Ridge and Hill 88, then down Old Springs Trail to Miwok Stables. 13 miles and 3000'. Sycamore Grove. Sycamore Grove Park in Livermore contains one of the largest remaining groves of native sycamores in California. Come walk through the grove with us, learn about how they have been impacted by changes in the area and what we can do. Optional post-hike wine-tasting at local winery. Meet: 10:30 am at Wetmore Road entrance. Return to cars approximately 3:30. Directions: from Highway 580, take the Airway Boulevard exit, go south past the airport, and turn right at Kittyhawk. Take Kittyhawk to Concannon Boulevard, turn left, go about 1 mile to Holmes, and turn right on Holmes. Go to Wetmore, turn left; park entrance will be on your right.
