China Camp.  Two easy hikes to explore the shoreline trails of China Camp State Park on the Bay in San Rafael. Yes, they still catch shrimp. Bass Lake and Alamere Fall at Point Reyes.  Rated one of the best hikes - ocean, mountains, lakes and a waterfall. Hike in and out along coast, 2 miles to very swimable Bass Lake. Another 2 miles past Pelican Lake and Double Point to Alamere Falls crashing to the beach. 9 miles round trip, back 5 pm-ish. Optional Bolinas dinner after hike.  Bring: Layers, lunch, snacks, water and sunscreen. Swimsuit? Meet: 10:30 am at Palomarin trailhead at south Point Reyes. Directions: take usually unmarked Bolinas turnoff north of Stinson Beach, turn right on Mesa Road, 4-1/2 miles to parking lot with surprisingly nice toilets. Stinson Beach.  An easy/moderate hike with great views from Mountain Home to Stinson Beach via the Matt Davis Trail (or Steep Ravine?). Lunch overlooking Stinson Beach. East meets west upon Ridgecrest.  A new attempt to reach West Ridgecrest Boulevard from the northern slopes of Mount Tamalpais. We'll take a more direct route from Lake Lagunitas to Laurel Dell; then, make an easy climb over the hills to see the ocean beyond. Return via the main ridge towards East Peak. Hiking sticks will help with the descent to Lake Lagunitas.  Meet: 9 am at Fairfax Parkade (opposite Fairfax Theater). Onward and upward.  A moderate-to-brisk paced, strenuous all-day hike.   Meet: 8:30 am at Muir Beach parking lot in the town of Muir Beach. Directions: from Highway 1 in the town of Muir Beach, turn towards the ocean by the Pelican Inn. Drive about 100 yards and park in the parking lot for the beach.
