Bass Lake and Alamere Fall at Point Reyes. Rated one of the best hikes - ocean, mountains, lakes and a waterfall. Hike in and out along coast, 2 miles to very swimable Bass Lake. Another 2 miles past Pelican Lake and Double Point to Alamere Falls crashing to the beach. 9 miles round trip, back 5 pm-ish. Optional Bolinas dinner after hike. Bring: Layers, lunch, snacks, water and sunscreen. Swimsuit? Meet: 10:30 am at Palomarin trailhead at south Point Reyes. Directions: take usually unmarked Bolinas turnoff north of Stinson Beach, turn right on Mesa Road, 4-1/2 miles to parking lot with surprisingly nice toilets. Carpooling: call leader - it is a long ride.

East meets west upon Ridgecrest. A new attempt to reach West Ridgecrest Boulevard from the northern slopes of Mount Tamalpais. We'll take a more direct route from Lake Lagunitas to Laurel Dell; then, make an easy climb over the hills to see the ocean beyond. Return via the main ridge towards East Peak.
