East meets west upon Ridgecrest. A new attempt to reach West Ridgecrest Boulevard from the northern slopes of Mount Tamalpais. We'll take a more direct route from Lake Lagunitas to Laurel Dell; then, make an easy climb over the hills to see the ocean beyond. Return via the main ridge towards East Peak. Hiking sticks will help with the descent to Lake Lagunitas. Meet: 9 am at Fairfax Parkade (opposite Fairfax Theater). Carpooling: call leader to organize any ride sharing from the East Bay or San Francisco. Cost: $7/car entry or annual pass.
