Always bring lunch and water. Consider layered clothing, sunscreen and hiking poles.
Canine hikers should also bring leashes, litter bags, and water for their dogs.

China Camp.  Two easy hikes to explore the shoreline trails of China Camp State Park on the Bay in San Rafael. Yes, they still catch shrimp. Rodeo Beach and Point Bonita Lighthouse.  An easy hike from the beach up the hill and back, including the visitor's center and with a docent-led, guided tour of the Point Bonita lighthouse. Night picnic on Ring Mountain.  An easy 1A hike and potluck dinner on top of Ring Mountain in Tiburon. Hike to the top - with 360 degree views - and share the food and drink for SIX HIKERS that you have carried up the hill. Sunset 7:45 pm; bring warm clothes. South Berkeley paths and stairways.  A relaxed and very slow hike with several rest stops. Route includes pathways, stairways and architectural treasures in South Berkeley and North Oakland. Some steep climbs. Hike ends around 5:30 pm in time for optional dinner. No need to register but rain cancels.  Bring: this is a city hike, but it is still necessary to bring lunch and liquids. Point Pinole canine hike.  Join Linda, Randall, Frolic and Breeze on an easy loop with Bay views. Return to cars around 1 pm with no lunch stop, though there are sites for optional picnicking after the hike. Dogless people welcome.  Meet: 10 am at Point Pinole Regional Park parking lot. Rockridge stairs (1).  We'll hike from Rockridge BART up the historical Rockridge stairs with spectacular view of the Bay area.
