VolunteerThe Sierra Club depends on volunteers. We invite you to join us. Just fill out the volunteer form and our volunteer coordinator will contact you. OutingsAll Chapter outings leaders are volunteers. The best way to start is to take part. See Events for some of our current outings. Most of the outings are sponsored by activities sections and you can find sections for different kinds of outings and with people who have similar interests to yours. See Activities sections for a description. ConservationChapter activists often volunteer with local groups, on conservation campaigns, and through the Conservation Committee and its subcommittees. If you would like to start with any of these organizations, you can contact them directly or fill out the volunteer form above. We also provide opportunities for volunteering on one-time basis such as calling people to attend a hearing, collecting petition signatures, hosting a table at a civic event. Administrative helpIf you're interested in working in an office, there are many administrative jobs available in our office in Berkeley: telephone reception, preparing mailings, data entry, etc. Administrative volunteer work can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, monthly, or on an occasional basis. You can even just schedule time for an orientation and give it a try for an hour, then come back whenever you are able. Volunteering is fun and easy. For more information, call Joanne Drabek at (510) 848-0800 ext 315 or email Thank You!
