About the San Francisco Bay ChapterThe San Francisco Bay Chapter is home to the 40,000 Sierra Club members in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, and San Francisco. The Sierra Club is a volunter-based organization with regional chapters throughout the United States and Canada. The Bay Chapter is comprised of eight local groups within the four counties; each group being led by volunteer members. The current volunteer leadership roster can be found here. The Bay Chapter depends on volunteers. It is our volunteers that make it happen. They achieve fantastic results and are always looking for new patners. Please send in our volunteer form and join people like yourself who believe in clean air, clean water and a healthy environment for the Bay Area.
