Park initiative turns in signatures On April 19, environmental groups turned in 760,000 signatures to state election officials. These will almost
surely contain the 433,931 valid signatures required to place on the ballot the California State Parks and Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund Act of 2010. This
initiative will provide a stable source of funding to get our state parks into good repair and to protect them from threats of closing. To help in the
campaign this fall to pass the initiative, contact Chapter conservation coordinator
or by phone at (510) 848-0800, ext. 323
