ABOUT THE YODELER

Enter your photos in 2005 Yodeler Photo Contest

Last year's third annual Yodeler Photo Contest was a huge success. The winning photos were exhibited in four locations, and many were published in the July-August and subsequent Yodelers.

Enter your photos for the 2005 contest, again titled "Nature in California." All images must have been taken in California, and may be in either black and white or color. The categories are the same as last year:

  • landscape: a broad, expansive view of California land;
  • water: water, ice, fog, etc.;
  • patterns: an arrangement of accidental or natural patterns in nature;
  • California flora: a native plant in a natural setting;
  • animals in nature: a native California animal in a natural setting;
  • nature with people: a nature scene with people involved.

A photographer may enter up to five photos, a maximum of two in any category.

The entry requirements have been changed this year to reduce participants' costs, make submission easier, and encourage even more entries. The photographic print must be unmounted (a change from previous contests). Submissions must be received between March 1 and March 8. Entry forms and full entry guidelines will be available by mid-January at the Chapter Office, 2530 San Pablo Ave. in Berkeley, or you can just print out the Entry Form and send it in.

As last year, selected winning photos will be published in the Yodeler and will be exhibited.

If you have questions or wish to volunteer to help with the contest, please contact Anne Seasons at seamerci@yahoo.com or (510) 841-8008.
