Where water meets rock, magic happens. California is blessed with an abundance of this magic, from the world-class waterfalls of Yosemite National Park to
little-known neighborhood cataracts in the Bay Area and beyond. Join Ann Marie Brown, author of the guidebook
California Waterfalls, for an evening of slides
and discussion about hiking to some of Northern California's most spectacular falls. With the winter weather in full swing, there is no better time to plan a visit to these
watery wonders!
The author of 12 best-selling outdoor guidebooks, Ann Marie Brown is a dedicated California outdoorsperson who hikes, bikes, and camps more than 150 days
each year. Ann Marie's work has appeared in Sunset, VIA,
and Backpacker magazines. As a way of giving back a little of what she gets from her experiences in nature,
she writes and edits for several environmental groups, including Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council. When not traipsing along a California trail,
Ann Marie can be found at her home near Yosemite.
