Elect Jerry McNerney - Defeat Richard Pombo

Defeat Congressman Richard Pombo  - One of the 13 most corrupt members of Congress.
Rep. Richard Pombo (R CA/11) is known as Big Oil's best friend and one of the 13 most corrupt members of Congress.

As the Chairman of the House Resources Committee, he has lead the charge
to dismantle the Endangered Species Act, to drill in the Arctic Refuge,
to open our coasts to destructive drilling, and he has even gone so far
as to propose selling off America's National Parks.

Over the past decade Rep. Pombo has established himself as the single
most anti-environmental member of Congress. In Richard Pombo's world,
there is nothing worth protecting or preserving, in America's last
special places he sees only profits for his Big Oil friends.

The Sierra Club Political Committee is determined to defeat Pombo, and
with your help we will!

The Challenger: Jerry McNerney

Jerry McNerney is a renewable energy expert who has worked to develop
the wind energy industry here in California. Jerry is running to restore
honesty, integrity and accountability to Washington.

The Sierra Club Political Committee has endorsed Jerry McNerney for his
strong dedication to protecting the environment and his efforts to
reduce America's dependency on Big Oil.
