August 2004
Dear Friend of the Environment,
The Sierra Club Marin Group invites you to participate as a sponsor for our 6th Annual Awards Banquet to be held Friday, October 8, 2004 at the scenic Spinnaker Restaurant in Sausalito. This year we are pleased to present Priscilla Bull, inveterate environmental activist, with the Resource Conservation Award and Marilee Eckert, Executive Director of Marin Conservation Corps, with the Hannah Creighton Environmental Justice Award. These awards recognize excellence in service of Marin’s environment. A Special Recognition will also be presented to long-time Sierra Club hike leader and Activities and Outings Co-Chair, Richard Watson.
We are delighted to have Carole Migden, Chairwoman of the California Board of Equalization, to engage us with her thoughts on "Saving California's Environment: Why This Election is So Crucial" as our keynote speaker. Marin political columnist, Dick Spotswood, will be our emcee for the evening.
