Always bring lunch and water. Consider layered clothing, sunscreen and hiking poles.
Canine hikers should also bring leashes, litter bags, and water for their dogs.
July 19 Sunday 1A canine hike
Point Pinole canine hike.
Join Linda, Randall, Frolic and Breeze on an easy loop, with Bay views and possible dog swim. Return to cars around 1 pm with no lunch stop, though there are sites for optional picnicking after the hike. Dogless people welcome.
Meet: 10 am at Point Pinole Regional Park parking lot.
Directions: take Richmond Parkway to Giant Highway and follow park signs.
Cost: parking and dog fees. For information check: www.ebparks.org.

August 2 Sunday 2B canine hike
Tilden Park canine hike.
Join Linda, Randall, Frolic and Breeze on a moderate loop, including the Seaview Trail. We should be able to see some wildflowers. Return to cars around 1 pm with no lunch stop, but time for a quick snack. Dogless people welcome.
Meet: 10 am at the steam trains upper overflow lot.
Directions: off Grizzley Peak Boulevared near South Park Drive.
